Square Enix told through discussion with Japanese press of the hard work they’re doing to Final Fantasy XIII and Dragon Quest IX, as they explained both games are huge titles and the sure need lots of work, and they never gave answers on the release date.

They were asked if the year will be in the current fiscal year, they answered as the following: “God Knows…is the truth, I’ll try!”

Although the Final Fantasy XIII playable demo were released month ago, but still the release date as it seems far from 2009. It looks like Final Fantasy XIII won’t get release date next E3 2009, and it might have to wait till next year.

Sad news for all Final Fantasy fans, as everyone thought with the release of the playable demo that puts the game months away from release date.
