For years Sony’s Playstation had a game that was one of the reasons why the system was successful. This game is called Final Fantasy, for a long time Squaresoft have given Sony the exclusiveness of the Final Fantasy. This all began when Nintendo refused to have the Nintendo 64 using CD format games, Squaresoft turned there back on Nintendo then and allied with Sony. The alliance between Squaresoft and Sony gave Playstation 1 and Playstation 2 great reasons to sell out over 300 million consoles total. I know people that were only buying these consoles to play Final Fantasy games, that is how much Final Fantasy affected the video gamers.
Final Fantasy 7 was released in the year 1997, that is when Squaresoft showed off there first 3D RPG, and the world went crazy. Ever since then Final Fantasy became every RPG’s number 1 game to buy, and it would be the only game that people can play all day without getting bored.

At the last second of the Xbox 360 show off of the new titles, when the Conference is about to close down, the president of Squaresoft came back to tell the Microsoft fans one more reason why the Xbox 360 is the greatest console.

yes!!! finaly i have always loved the final fantasy series i used to play them then my dad got pissed at sony because the ps3 was said to be s#!t and over heat alot, so we got a 360(#^) and now i can play my fav series on xbox…now all i need is kingdom hearts

so it IS comming out for the 360? i read on the gamestop website that it was only comming out for the ps3 and i was soooooooooooooooo pissed, cuz i dont have one. but now that i know it’s comming out for the 360, my life can go on

great -.- now they are providing for microsoft the game play element is going to go down the toilet – and fast, as we all know that the Xbox/360 is purely for graphics.
Even though i am a big fan of the final fantasy series, i think they should have stopped at FFX as for people who can’t play online, it is unfair that any one should play a monthly subscription. ALSO final fantasy 12 sucked – so i am quite hesitant to play 13.
i have all of the consoles and the ps3 is by far the better console – the 360 makes a lot of noise – a shame really, a great series of games are going to be ruined by an excessivly loud fan.

well thats the first problem… the 360 was the one with the 35% defective rate. If it wasn’t for people giving you false information you would be able to play the next kingdom hearts.

I think this is a smart move for square, it’ll get the game into more hands. The 360 is just as powerful as the ps3. The only downside I see is the storage medium it uses. So what if its not exclusive to sony anymore. like Leishtek said, if other systems can handle it then bring it to em.
I cant wait to play this! I’ve been a fanboy ever since I played the first on the NES. ^^
Would be nice if XIII got me interested in the series again(every ff since 7 imo sucked or just wasnt able to hold my interest til completion like 4, 6 and 7 did(tho i did manage to complete 8 too). I got high hopes for this game…hehe, will even get me to buy a xbox360 or ps3 finnaly. which ever one runs it the best. Which means if it runs well on the 360 sony can kiss my butt.

Well it’s yet to be seen that the 360 is going to handle Final Fantasy 13. I wonder how many DVD discs it will take for the game to fit, reminds me of the Final Fantasy 7 Days.

Their all crap and made by the crappiest company ever…Square Enix if it were Squaresoft we would still be all in love with the final fantasy series I mean seriously FF 10 was the last good one in the series then it changes to Square Enix and what do you know FF X-2 silliest FF ever to come out…Screw Square Enix Miss you always Squaresoft T_T

Well Square Enix been going down with their old projects bringing down all the old fans, it’s true they haven’t done a decent game lately, but I believe in the company and the talented ppl who works there.
Hopefully FFXIII will get us back on how we used to know FF series.

This is good to see as it now gives me the option of choosing between a 360 and a PS3. I’ll probably go with getting a PS3 though. And I personally thought FF12 and FF7 Crisis Core were good, and those were both by the ‘new’ Square Enix.
